Gregory L. Riggs , Senior Counsel
Greg Riggs is Associate Dean for Student Services at the Emory University School of Law. Prior to his appointment to the Emory Law School administration, he served as Senior Vice President – General Counsel and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for Delta Air Lines, Inc. where he held responsibility for the company’s Government Affairs, Public Affairs, and Corporate Communications functions, in addition to overseeing Delta’s world-wide legal affairs. As General Counsel, he was designated by the Board of Directors as the company’s Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and was credited with overhauling the airline’s Ethics and Compliance Program, including the introduction of a new Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, the redesign of the executive oversight structure, and the development of both live and on-line training programs.Greg has participated as a faculty member for Practicing Law Institute and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics in compliance conferences and workshops in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Atlanta and for the South Texas College of Law in Houston. He has served as Chair of the Georgia State Bar’s Corporate Counsel Section, as Co-Chair of the Corporate Counsel Institute, as Vice Chair of the Emory Law Advisory Board and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He was named by his peers as one of Georgia’s Super Lawyers in 2004-2005. He presently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Aviation Accreditation Board International, and the North American Advisory Council of Oxford University’s Regent’s Park College.
Greg received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. from Oxford University, and his J.D. from the Emory University School of Law. Click here to go back to the Bios page
