- PBS Television Show, “In Search of the Good Corporate Citizen”. CSLG partners Win Swenson and Bill Prachar, along with CSLG Special Advisor Donna Boehme, appear as expert panelists on this TV program. Swenson was also senior advisor to the show which is airing on PBS stations around the country in 2009-2010. Information on the show is at www.lightonpro.com.
- OECD’s Working Group on Bribery. As part of its ongoing campaign to foster member countries’ compliance with the 1997 OECD Convention on Foreign Bribery, the OECD’s Working Group on Bribery in International Transactions convened a seminar at the OECD Conference Center in Paris on March 16, 2009, to inform OECD delegates about ways to enlist the private sector in the battle against corruption. The seminar, chaired by the Swedish Ambassador, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, had two sessions, one of which was facilitated by CSLG Senior Counsel, Joe Murphy. Murphy, and Special Advisor Donna Boehme, attended a follow-up meeting of the Working Group in Paris in December, 2009.
- Proposed Changes to the Organizational Sentencing Guidelines. During 2010 Partner Win Swenson is presenting analysis of the proposed amendments in various venues including a webinar on this topic by the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Conference Board’s Council on Corporate Compliance and Ethics (to which Special Advisor Donna Boehme serves as a program director).
- Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics. During 2010 Senior Counsel, Joe Murphy, is presenting at SCCE academies in Scottsdale, San Francisco and London, as well at a Northeast regional conference on these topics: incentives for compliance programs, conflicts of interest and compliance communications/training.
- Ethics and Compliance Officer Association. CSLG partners Bill Prachar and Win Swenson, and Special Advisor, Donna Boehme, led plenary sessions at ECOA’s annual fall conference in September 2009. Special Advisor Scott Avelino made two presentations at the 2009 ECOA Sponsoring Partner Forum on, respectively, building a compliance program in a crisis mode, and results from a national benchmarking survey on compliance/ethics.
- Fordham University, Conference on Enhanced Regulation. Special Advisor Scott Avelino presented the timely topic "Integrity in the Financial Markets - Challenge and Pitfalls".
