Margaret Bavuso, Senior Counselor
Margaret Bavuso has been Executive Director of Integrity, Security and Compliance for Verizon Wireless, where she had responsibility for the design, implementation and day-today operation of the compliance program. Additionally, she had responsibility for investigations into allegations of wrongdoing and for compliance with court orders for electronic surveillance and subpoenas for subscriber records. She was responsible for liaison with national security agencies in connection with authorized national security investigations. While at Verizon Wireless, Maggie was selected as a faculty member for the Practising Law Institute’s Advanced Corporate Compliance Workshop, as an expert in corporate compliance. Maggie was a Special Investigator with the New York State Commission on Government Integrity, investigating political corruption in New York State. She was also the Deputy Chief Investigator working for the court appointed Federal Administrator of the Fulton Fish Market and has investigated improper activities in the Teamsters Union. She has extensive experience at American Airlines in the areas of training, sales, budgets and costs, labor relations and yield management and brings a very practical approach to the design and implementation of compliance programs.
Her experience at CSLG has included designing and assessing all elements of compliance programs, developing risk assessment programs, conducting risk assessments and conducting investigations. This experience has been gained in a very broad section of both publicly traded and privately held companies, throughout the world.
She received her B.A. from Adelphi University, her J.D. from New England School of Law and her M.B.A. from New York University, Stern School of Business.
